CSL Policies, Terms and Conditions

When you register for a class or program with CSL, you are agreeing to comply to the policies listed below.

12-Hour Cancellation Clause:

Our teachers pour much time and effort into preparing their lessons for you. Therefore, if you are enrolled in private or semi-private lessons, we request at least 12 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel a lesson with less than 12 hours notice, you are still charged for the lesson, and our teacher is not required to make up the class.
 

Refund Policy:

CSL reserves the right to cancel a class if fewer than 3 students register for our adult group classes (fewer than 5 students for our kids classes). If the class is cancelled, and CSL can’t accommodate you with another class option (we email you these options immediately), your payment will be refunded in full. If you have registered for the class and want to withdraw, you must do so at least 7 days prior to the start of the class in order to receive a refund.

Please note that NO refunds will be issued for student withdrawals once classes have started or for missed classes. 

Recurring Payments Policy:

If you select to register with recurring payments, you will be charged the first installment at the time of purchase, and all following payments will be automatically charged monthly until paid in full.

Registering for class is a 10-week commitment. You are responsible for the entire payment regardless of how many times you attend class. The more you go to class the more you will get out of our program!

Expiration of Hours for Customized Lessons and Corporate Classes Policy:

In order for CSL to deliver the highest quality language instruction for our students, it is critical that we have consistency in our lessons. Our focus is our students’ success and progress in language acquisition. For this to occur, it is important for classes to meet on a regular basis to promote consistent time in the target language.

If students or clients go for one month from their last class without having a lesson with their teacher, the remaining hours in their current package will expire. 

This does not include emergency situations for which prior approval or arrangements with the teacher have been made. 

Closings:

CSL will not hold classes on the following holidays. Classes that fall on those days will be rescheduled.

Martin Luther King Day
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day + the following Friday
Winter Holidays:  December 18– January 2 (return to office on Monday, January 3, 2022)

*For classes at local schools or businesses, the schedule will be unique to that particular program. If you have any questions, please ask your teacher.

 

Class Recordings & Multimedia

Class Recordings: Classes that take place through Chattanooga School of Language’s (“CSL”) video chat platform (Zoom) are recorded by CSL (“Class Recordings”). Class Recordings are available to the Teacher providing the Class and CSL Staff to (1) provide a viewable copy to students who missed the Class, or who wish to review the Class, for their personal educational purposes; and (2) review the Class Recording in order to improve Classes. In addition, CSL may use Class Recordings to provide and improve our Services, for customer support, and for compliance purposes. CSL will delete Class Recordings under the following circumstances: (a) upon the request of a Parent for the deletion of their child’s personally identifiable information, or (b) upon the reasonable determination of CSL that a Class Recording should be removed to protect the privacy of certain Users or because of violations of these Terms of Service. 

Marketing & Social Media: CSL retains the right to use Class Recordings and other photos, video or multimedia from Classes in social media posts, and other marketing efforts. Upon purchasing a class with CSL, you consent to you and/or your child appearing in marketing materials. 

Removing Consent: If you would not like you and/or your child to appear in marketing materials or in Class Recordings, please notify Chattanooga School of Language in writing, via an email to [email protected]om, a minimum seven days prior to the start of classes.
