Learn or improve your English language skills today through our Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) classes!
Classes are offered to community members at no cost to the students.
Our classes provide students with high-quality English language instruction while focusing on important life skills, workforce development, digital literacy and more. Our teachers assist English Language Learners (ELLs) to build English language and literacy skills while developing knowledge of concepts and terms used in the workplace and community. CSL teachers incorporate the cultural practicalities of civic participation, as well as workforce development and awareness, into each lesson.
Group classes are offered throughout the year to students in Beginning Literacy through Advanced ESL levels. Schedules vary depending on students' levels. You must attend an Orientation before starting classes. Click below to sign up.
Students must be an English Language Learner who is 16 years of age or older, not enrolled (or required to be enrolled) in secondary school, and motivated to learn. Click below for more program details. If you have questions, please contact us.
Orientations are held at the Chattanooga School of Language (4122 North Access Road). Classes are held at the language school and off-site locations to accommodate our students' needs. Click below for a list of current locations.
